Action Wobble Halloween Blog Hop

Hey everyone!  Welcome to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and the Action Wobble Halloween Blog Hop!  I'm so excited to announce that today is my first day as part of the Action Wobble Design Team...YAY!!!  We have all sorts of Halloween projects that dance and wobble to share with you today, so I hope you'll take time to hop through all of the stops.  Plus, there's some awesome royal blog candy that will be given away to someone who comments on each post and follows the Action Wobbles Blog.

If you've come here from Melissa's blog, then you're in the right place.  If you've just stumbled upon my post and would like to start from the beginning, head on over to the Action Wobble Blog.

For my project, I decided to make a little treat bag topper.  This topper would be great to give as party favors or as a thank you for teachers or co-workers.  Here it is:

This little Handled Treat Bag Topper is this week's freebie from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Graphics Store.  I embossed the base with my Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder and the scalloped border with my Cuttlebug Candycane embossing folder.  Then I inked up all of the pieces with distress ink and chalk ink and added this cute sentiment from Pink by Design's A Haunting We Will Go Stamp Set.

This cute little vampire is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Monster Mash Digital Clip Art set.  I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo to cut him out.  Then, I inked up his edges (since it drives me a little crazy when white edges show on cuts) and added Glossy Accents to his eyes, bowtie, and shoes to add a little dimension.

The best part about this little guys is that I put him on an Action Wobble.  So, he can Monster Mash all night long!!!

Ready lil' guy?

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, WIGGLE...YEAH!

Okay, now....how about a little Blog Candy of my own?

One lucky follower will win a 6 x 6" Basic Grey Lauderdale Paper Pad -AND- a pack of Action Wobbles. Here's what you need to do for a chance to win my little candy:

Take Every Chance

Happy Monday!!!  Today is my day to post over at Pink by Design, and I have a card to share with you that was so fun to make!  Here it is:

I wanted to create a non-frilly card to go along with this sentiment from the Pink by Design August 2012 Stamp of the Month: Illuminate.  Here's how I made the card:

I created this card using a 4x6 arrows card that I found in the Silhouette Online Store.  I think it was intended to be used with Project Life, but I think it makes a great starting place for a card. I made 2 different sizes of shadows using the offset feature (the white shadow and the kraft shadow.  Then, I mirrored the larger kraft shadow to create the card base.  I also made a copy of the rounded rectangle part of the arrows card and cut it out of the white cardstock I use for my Copics.  Then, I used a bunch of different colors of Copics to create this blended spectrum background.  I love how it turned out, and I love what my Copics can do!!!  Then, I popped up arrows with foam tape to create a little dimension.  I stamped the sentiment on a chipboard shape, added some doodle lines, and my card was all done!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll have lots of new files to share with you on Wednesday, plus I have a fun announcement to make!  I'll hope you come by! :)

Cameo Creations Challenge ~ Halloween Treats

Happy Thursday!!! It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge.  The theme this time is to create Halloween Treats with your Silhouette machine.  Here's what I created:

I created this little treat bag using the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Candy Bucket Cutting Files and a 3D Purse Box I found in the Silhouette Online Store.  The box had handles of its own, but I just used the slice tool to cut the handles off so I could use the candy bucket's handles, instead.  I embossed the face of the jack-o-lantern with an embossing folder that came in the Cuttlebug Starter Set of embossing folders.  Then, I inked the raised portions of the embossed design with some white pigment ink so it would stand out a bit more.  The sentiment is from Pink by Design's Ghostly Greetings Stamp Set, and I stamped it on a shape I had left over from another project. I tied on the tag with 3 Girl JAM Goblin Green Crinkle Ribbon, filled the treat bag with goodies, and my project was all done!

Here's a side view of the bag so you can see how I put the two files together:

Now it's your turn!  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created, then link up your own Silhouette-created Halloween Treats project.  We can't wait to see what you create, and you could win an awesome prize! :)

Design Team Day!!!

YAY!!! It's time for another Design Team Day here at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  I'm excited to share the projects my talented Design Team created with Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Graphics files.  First, here's what I made this week:

I created this shape card using the PPPR Honey Bees Cutting Files.  I made a copy of the base layer of this little honey bear in Silhouette Studio.  Then I mirrored it and welded the pieces together to create a shaped card base.  I inked up all of the pieces of the bear with my ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink and adhered the pieces with foam tape to add dimension.  I added black brads in the place of his eyes and covered his nose and honeycomb with Glossy Accents.  The sentiment is from Pink by Design's Honey Pie Stamp Set.  I finished off the adorable honey bear with some 3 Girl JAM Ice Blue Crinkle Ribbon.  I love how it turned out!  By the way, the card measures 4" x 8.5", so he'll fit in a #10 Standard Letter envelope.

Now, here are the awesome projects from my talented DT.  Be sure to click on the links below the photos to check out all of the details for the projects on their blogs.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Halloween Blog Hop

Happy Saturday!!!  Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Halloween Blog Hop!  I'm super excited about today's hop because it's our VERY FIRST one!  We all created fun Halloween projects using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) files, and we can't wait for you to see them.

So, grab your beverage of choice and a snack, and get ready to hop!  You're bound to get lots of fun ideas along the way, and we have some AWESOME Blog Candy for you (I'll tell you all about that in a minute).  First, I am just DYING to show you my project. Here it is:

I decided to try out a Stair Step card for this hop because I've never made one before.  I have to tell you that I had SO MUCH FUN making this card!  I loved planning it all out and making this little scene, and I just love the way it turned out.  So, be ready for TONS of pictures!

Here's what it looks like head on:

And...here it is slightly from above:

I got all of the Jack-o-Lanterns from the PPPR Pumpkin Patch Cutting Files Set.  The spooky tree is actually just the trunk from the summery PPPR Tree Cutting Files.  I love this tree because you can really use it for any season just by changing it up a bit.

I got that cute little Mummy from the PPPR Monster Mash Cutting Files.  Isn't he so fun?  I didn't have enough different colors of white paper to make his bandages stand out, so I colored some of the cutouts with a couple of warm gray Copic markers before I put him together.  Then, I gave him a little bucket full of candy from the PPPR Candy Bucket Cutting Files (with an added little jewel on his lollipop).

This sweet kitty cat came from the PPPR Halloween Critters Cutting Files Set, and the leaves came from the PPPR Falling Leaves Cutting Files Set.  I just used the base layer of the leaves since they are so tiny.  I really didn't need the detail for this card.

I cut the grass using my Martha Stewart Grass punch and embossed it with my Cuttlebug and the Cuttlebug Forest Branches embossing folder.  I drew the circle for the moon in Silhouette Studio and used the offset feature to create a shadow layer around it.  Then, I embossed the moon with my Cuttlebug Animal Prints embossing folder (the leopard print one).  The embossing was a bit to bold for what I was going for, so I ran it back through ON TOP of the folder to flatten it out a little.  I love the subtle effect that technique gives.

Here's the card all flattened out.  The sentiment on the moon is from Pink by Design's A Haunting We Will Go Stamp Set. By the way, the card measures around 5.75" square (though I think one of the branches ended up sticking a bit to far out for that to be exactly right).

Okay...whew!  Sorry about all of the photos.  This is just one of those projects that I'm really excited about! :)

Now...how about some BLOG CANDY???!?!?!?!

One lucky hopper will win this fun collection of goodies, which includes a $15 Gift Certificate to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store, some 3D Martha Stewart candy stickers, a Bazzill Pastel mat stack, a Jack-o-Lantern acrylic stamp, and some Basic Grey fabric flowers.  YAY!!!!  Here's what you need to do for a chance to win:

Corn-gratulations ~ SOUS Die Cut Challenge Oct. 19

TGIF!!!  Today is a wonderful day for another Die Cut Challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches.  The theme for this challenge is Pumpkin or Vegetable.  So, we needed to create a project using a pumpkin or vegetable die cut.  Here's what I came up with:

This CORNY card measures 5.75" square.  I got the fun little corn from the new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Fall Festival Cutting Files Set.  I used the "release compound path" function in Silhouette Studio to delete and move around some of his kernals so I could add this adorable little face from Peachy Keen's Critter Faces Set A Medium stamp set.  I think it makes him so cute!  I embossed his husk with my Cuttlebug and my Sizzix Woodgrain embossing folder.  The background circle was embossed with my Sizzix Paisley Palooza embossing folder.  I added a banner shape that I found in the Silhouette Online Store with this super cute sentiment from Pink by Design's Plum Perfect Stamp Set.  I embossed the banner with my Cuttlebug Herringbone embossing folder.  I added lots of ink, some doodles, and some star brads, and my silly little card was all done!

Now, it's your turn!  Head on over to Stuck on U Sketches to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your own project that uses a pumpkin or vegetable die cut.  We can't wait to see what you create!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for an AWESOME Blog Hop!  There will be such cute Halloween projects and some FABULOUS Blog Candy along the way.  Plus, there are only 7 stops, so you'll get to hop through in no time flat!  The fun starts here on Saturday, October 20...I hope to see you there! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking the time to comment!  I love your comments...they give me warm, fuzzy feelings! :)
