Pink by Design Mother's Day Challenge

Happy Monday, everyone!  It's time for another challenge over at Pink by Design, and the challenge this time is to create a Mother's Day-themed project.  Here's what I created:

This entire card was created using the print-and-cut feature of Silhouette Studio.  I got the daffodil from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Spring Garden Cutting Files set.  PPPR SVG files come in full color, so I just separated the pieces and printed them out so I wouldn't have to search for all of the colors of card stock I'd need.  I also printed the background papers...which I got from the new PPPR Spring Fling Pattern Pack of Digital Papers.  I added a wonderful sentiment from Pink by Design's Our Mothers stamp set, some chalk ink, and some lace ribbon, and my card was all done.  Super simple and quick.

Now, it's your turn.  Link up your own Mother's Day-themed project below for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to Pink by Design.  You have until Saturday night to link up.  We can't wait to see what you make. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll be back on Wednesday with some new files for you.  YAY!

Cameo Creations Mother's Day Challenge

Hey, everyone!  Happy Thursday!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge...YAY!  The challenge this time is to use your Silhouette cutting machine to create a Mother's Day project.  Here's what I created for the challenge:

I got this sweet little hummingbird from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Spring Garden Cutting Files Set.  I liked the colors that came with the SVG files, so I just used the print and cut function in Silhouette Studio to print and cut the layers.  I created the card base by layering some files from the PPPR Scalloped Circles Cutting Files Set and welding them together.  I filled the scalloped shapes with papers from the PPPR Sunny Skies Mod Circles and Chevron Digital Paper Pack.  The sentiment is from Pink by Design's Our Mothers Stamp Set, and I stamped it on a cut from the PPPR Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files Set.  I added some ink and some ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and my pretty Mother's Day card was all done.  I hope you like it!

Now, it's your turn.  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your own Silhouette-created Mother's Day project.  We can't wait to see what you create.  You have 2 weeks to link up for a chance to a fabulous prize! :)

Design Team Day!!!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  It's time for another Design Team Day, and I my super talented Design Team has really outdone themselves this week.  They've shown all sorts of projects you could make using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files.  First, here's what I created:

This fun little coffee pot is from the Java Great Day Cutting Files set.  I thought this silly sentiment from Pink by Design's Days Like This Stamp Set went perfectly with his crazy expression.  I stamped it on a shape from the Layered Labels 2 Cutting Files set.  I created the shaped card by making a shadow layer with the offset feature in Silhouette Studio.  Then, I mirrored the shadow layer to the left and welded the two pieces together.  I added some ink and some doodles, and my silly shaped card was all done!

Now, here's what my amazing Design Team created:

Nicole ~ Teachdanz
Back 2 School Cutting Files

 Tanya ~ Nonna's Craft Corner
Rainy Day Critters Cutting Files

 Jeanne ~ Jeanne's Paper Crafts
Dino-Mite & Simple Banner Shapes Cutting Files

Quick Birthday Card

Happy Monday, everyone!  It's my day to post over at the Action Wobble Blog, and I have a bright and cheery card to share with you today. This weekend, I was looking through all of my craft stuff, and I realized that I just have so many stickers and chipboard shapes that I keep buying because I think they are so cute, but I just never use them.  So, I thought I'd use some of them to create a quick birthday card using an Action Wobble.  Here it is:

I got these chipboard flowers from my sticker stash, and I stuck glued them together to create a little cluster.  The background paper is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Sunny Skies Mod Circles & Chevron Paper Pack.  I added some pretty ribbon and a stamp from the Pink by Design Birthday Birthday Stamp Set.

And, of course, I put the little chipboard flower cluster on a fun Action Wobble!  BOING!!!  You can get your own Action Wobbles in the Royal Castle Shoppe.

I'm sad to say that this will be my last post over at the Action Wobbles Blog.  I've been so very busy with home life and the PPPR store lately that I need to find some ways to simplify my life a bit.  My poor family would also like to see me be something other than a big ol' grumpy bear at some point, I bet.  So, I will, of course, continue to use my fun Action Wobbles on my projects, I just won't be posting them on the AW blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll be back on Wednesday with some AWESOME Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons inspiration from the PPPR Design Team.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Spring Blog Hop

Hello, everyone!!! I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday so far!  Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Spring Blog Hop.  Today, my super talented Design Team and I are sharing all sorts of spring-themed projects we created using PPPR files. Be sure to visit each and every blog along the hop, because you won't want to miss even one amazing project.  You'll also have the chance to win some fun Blog Candy!!!

For my project, I decided to use on of the brand-new sets, Spring Garden, to create this simple Mother's Day card.

This sweet flower is from the Gerber Daisy file in the Spring Garden Cutting Files Set.  I left off the stem and leaves to simplify the look of my card.  I alternated light and dark yellow colors for the layers of the flower, inked the edges, and used a pretty button with some twine for the center of the flower.  The "leaves" are from the Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files set, and I added a sentiment from Pink by Design's Joyful Tags Stamp Set.

I embossed my background paper with my Sizzix Paisley Palooza embossing folder and added a double strip of washi tape along the side (I put the tape on a separate piece of card stock so it wouldn't show the embossing underneath).  That's it!  Super simple, and I think it turned out nice...perfect for my Mom for Mother's Day. :)

Oooo...and I can't forget to remind you about the Spring MEGA Sale that going on now over at the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store.  You can save 40% on your purchase of $10 or more by using the coupon code springmega.  But hurry!  This coupon code expires at midnight tonight.  This kind of a sale doesn't come along often, so you don't want to miss it!

I'm so excited to show you the fun project I created with this week's Friday Freebie and some new files that were released on Wednesday.  Here it is:

This fun little K-Cup Treat bag is the new Friday Freebie this week.  It holds two K-Cups inside.

In order to create the front of this fun treat, I first stamped the treat bag with the my Pink by Design Coffee Background Stamp and some Versa Mark Ink.  Then, I used the print-and-cut feature in Silhouette Studio to cut out this Keurig Machine and these cute little K-Cups from the new Java Great Day Cutting Files Set. I also printed and cut this scalloped circle, which I got from the Scalloped Circle Cutting Files set (I just filled it with a new brown color).  I stamped this sentiment from Pink by Design's Extra Hot Stamp Set on a circle cut, added some stitching doodles, and popped everything up with some foam tape.

Here's the other side, which shows the second K-Cup. If you like this little K-Cup Treat, you can download the file for FREE here, in the Friday Freebie section of the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store.  It will be available for one week, then it will move to the 99 Cent Downloads section.

Crabby ~ SOUS Die Cut Challenge April 19

TGIF, everyone!  It's time for another Die Cut Challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches.  The theme for this challenge is to create a project using a die cut of a crustacean.  Here's what I came up with:

I got this sad little crab from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Moody Crab Cutting Files Set.  He's just perfect for this sentiment from Pink by Design's Crikey Stamp Set.  I created the "sand" on the card by tearing a piece of kraft cardstock, embossing it with my Sizzix Tim Holtz Bubble embossing folder, and inking it up with a darker color of brown.  I added some gems and some pretty ribbon, and my card was all done!

Now it's your turn.  Head on over to Stuck on U Sketches to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your own project that includes a crustacean die cut.

Oh, and I can't forget to tell you this!!! For 2 DAYS ONLY, I'm having a Spring MEGA Sale!  Use the coupon code springmega to save 40% off your purchase of $10 or more in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store.  YAY!!!  These kinds of savings don't come around often, so don't miss out.  This coupon code will expire at 11:59 on Saturday, April 20.  Valid for only one purchase per customer.

What's New Wednesday #32

Hi, everyone!  It's time for another What's New Wednesday, and I have some super cute new files to show you today.  Here's what's new in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store.  You can click on the photos to go see these in the store.

First, I have these fun Java Great Day files.  I recently got a Keurig machine, and I just love it!  So, I thought it would be fun to have a set with a Keurig and some other coffee-related items.  And, of course, I just had to put some fun faces on them. :)

These cutting files come in SVG, DXF, JPG, and PNG format.  So, they include clip art along with the cutting files.

If you don't have a cutting machine, you can also purchase these as just clip art (JPG & PNG) for a lower price.

I also created this sweet Spring Garden set.  With Mother's Day coming up, I thought it was about time for me to have a set with some flowers.  I added in a sweet hummingbird and a butterfly, too.

These cutting files come in SVG, DXF, PNG, and JPG formats.

You can also get them in clip art only. :)

That's it!  I'll be back on Friday with some more projects and a fun Friday Freebie for you.  I hope you're having a great week!!!

Gooder'n Grits & a Friday FREEBIE!

TGIF, everyone!  It's time for another Not-a-Card Friday over at Pink by Design.  So, I decided to use this week's new Friday Freebie to create my project.  Here it is:

This bag topper is the new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Handled Treat Bag Topper 2.  I wanted to use this sentiment from Pink by Design's Cowboy Take Me Away stamp set and these boots from the PBD Best in the West stamp set, so I chose some masculine, western-y looking colors.  I colored the boots with my Copics...I just chose colors that I thought coordinated with the plaid paper. I embossed the base with my Cuttlebug Mesh embossing folder and added lots of ink, and my topper was all done. :)

So...how would you like to have this fun treat bag file?  It's the new PPPR Friday Freebie, so you have one week to download it for free.  Then, it will move to the 99 Cent Downloads section of the store.  You can find the freebie here:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!  Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Design Team Day and What's New Wednesday #31

Happy Wednesday, everyone!!!  I'm so happy that it's time for another Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Design Team Day, and you get to see what all of the DT members created, including our 3 new members.  YAY!!!  I also have some new files to show you today, too!  So, first...here's my project that I created with the new files from this week:

For this fun shaped card, I used a file from the brand new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Rain or Shine Cutting Files Set.  To create the card base, I selected the base layer of the cut and created an outset for it.  Then, I duplicated this shadow layer, mirrored it above, and welded the two shapes together.  The fun sentiment is from Pink by Design's Summer Vacation Stamp Set.

Here's the new Rain or Shine set that I used for this card.  It is available as cutting files and clip art.

Now....drumroll, please.  Here are the FANTABULOUS projects by my super talented Design Team members:

Nicole ~ Teachdanz
Safari Love and Borders 1 Cutting Files

 Brianna ~ Happy Scrapper
Rainy Day Critters Cutting Files

Barb ~ BugBites
Thanksgiving Feast Cutting Files

Honey Bees Cutting Files

Melisa ~ Melisa's Crafty Creations
